Floodplain Mapping

The Planning and Development Division is the division primarily responsible for mapping floodplains and improving the quality and accuracy of existing floodplain maps. Floodplain mapping is done both in-house and under contract by private consulting firms, and range in scope from single watercourses to entire watersheds.
